This policy explains how InferSports (“InferSports”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use our website at infersports.ai, our web app, and our iOS and Android apps (together, the “Service”).
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name and email address when you create an account.
- Phone number: if you turn on text-message alerts, your mobile number and whether it has been verified.
- Your activity in the Service: bets you log in the Bet Tracker, your preferences and alert settings, pick-contest entries, models and ratings you build, and questions you ask Infer.
- Messages to us: anything you send when you contact support.
Payment information
Paid plans are purchased through Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We receive a customer reference, your plan, billing status, and the last four digits and brand of your card.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Service our servers record technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, app version, pages or screens used, and timestamps. We use it to run, secure and debug the Service. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
How we use information
- To provide the Service — sign you in, show your board, grade your bets, answer your Infer questions, and send the alerts you ask for.
- To process subscriptions and payments.
- To respond to you and provide support.
- To keep the Service secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To understand how the Service is used and improve it.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How we share information
We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, to operate the Service:
- Authentication — WorkOS, which handles sign-in.
- Payments — Stripe, which processes subscriptions.
- Hosting and data storage — Amazon Web Services and Neon (database).
- Messaging — SMS and push-notification providers, to deliver alerts you turn on.
- AI services — providers that power game analysis and Ask Infer. Questions you send may be processed by these providers to generate an answer; they may not use it to train their own models.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply.
Retention
We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account we delete your personal information within 30 days, except for payment and subscription records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes, and copies in backups, which are overwritten within 35 days.
Your choices and rights
- Access and correction: view and update your details under Account, or ask us for a copy of your data.
- Deletion: request deletion of your account and data at any time — see how to delete your account.
- Alerts: turn off text or push alerts in the app or your device settings. Reply STOP to any text message to opt out of texts.
Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Virginia or other U.S. states), you may have additional rights to know, access, correct, delete, or port your information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. Email support@infersports.ai to make a request; we will verify it using your account email.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to people who need it, and passwords are handled by our authentication provider rather than stored by us. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of a breach where the law requires.
Age requirement
The Service is intended only for people 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21, and we will delete such information if we learn we have it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update the date above and notify you in the Service or by email before they take effect.
